Creating shaped cards is much easier than it looks, and this technique is a fun way to make your handmade cards stand out. In the video, I share tips to make it the easy way along with simple tricks for getting great results every time. This technique works with so many different dies and gives you endless card making ideas without complicated folds or measurements.

Shaped Cards
For these cards, I used 3 different die set to show you the versatility of this technique. Click the link under each card to see the list of supplies I used.
How to Make Them!
- Fold your card base in half — Start with a regular folded card base.
- Choose a large die — Use the largest die that comfortably fits on the card front.
- Position the die over the fold — Let part of the die extend past the folded edge so it won’t cut all the way through.
- Run it through your Cut & Emboss machine — Die cut the shape while keeping the fold intact.
- Open your shaped card — You’ll now have two connected shapes that create a fun folded shaped card!
The project sheet includes the measurements for all of the cards shown!
