Why did you join?

I was looking for stamping equipment and remembered how much I loved my friend’s Stampin’ Up! products because they were so high quality.  Over the years, I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on paper crafting products that are just sitting on my shelf because they don’t coordinate.  That all changed when I started using Stampin’ Up! products because they are purposely designed to work beautifully together.  After creating a wish list, I quickly realized that I wanted way too many things, so I decided to join just to get the GREAT deal on the kit.  My intention was to quit after I had purchased everything else I wanted with my new discount.  Well, it didn’t take long before I knew I LOVED learning more about stamping and business, so I decided to give it a shot! 

Do I need to demonstrate?

No!  You can join for the deal on the starter kit and enjoy the 20% discount for at least 4 months.  Nothing else!  Just have fun with your stamping products!

Is there any obligation?

No!  There is NO OBLIGATION and NO COMMITMENT and NO PRESSURE!  You are never required to do anything more.  It is really up to you what you want to do with this opportunity.  Enjoy your starter kit and discount and then when your 4 months expires, you just go back to being a regular Stampin’ Up! customer paying full price.  If you decide you want to continue as a demonstrator, you just need to meet your quarterly minimum. 

What’s a quarterly minimum?

To retain your demonstrator status, you need to submit $300 in sales every 3 months.  The incredible thing is that your personal orders count towards that goal!  You don’t have to sell a thing!  Now if you want to share your hobby with friends and they purchase products from you, that just helps you meet your minimum.  If you don’t meet your minimum, no big deal!  Stampin’ Up! just deactivates your demonstrator account and you just go back to being a regular customer.  You don’t return anything; everything you purchased is yours.  You can even join again at a later time! 

Can I be my own host?

Absolutely!  Great idea!  When you host a party, you get the commission and the Stampin’ Rewards!  Invite your friends and family to order from you through an in-person party/class or an online catalog party. 

Do I have to hold classes or put on workshops?

Nope!  There are no requirements!  You decide how you run your business…if you choose to run a business at all.

Can I just buy products for myself?  I don’t want to sell anything.

Absolutely!   Enjoy your 20% discount!

Do I have to have a blog, website, social media page, etc.?

Nope!  You run your business however you want!  There is training available for any way you want to do business whether that is the more traditional way of holding card-making classes or running an online business. 

What is required of a demonstrator?

The only requirement to remain a demonstrator after your initial 4 month period is to accrue $300 in sales every quarter.  You can collect these sales any way you want.  In fact, if you don’t want to sell anything, all of those sales can be from you.  You can collect orders from family and friends to help reach that quarterly minimum to stay active as a demonstrator. 

What if I just want to do this as a hobby and not as a business?

All are welcome!  Everyone joins for different reasons and different goals.  Join for the awesome deal on the kit and the discount.  Great!  Enjoy!  Join to start a business.  Also, great!  You will receive support and training for any level of business you choose. 

Can you make money selling Stampin’ Up!?

Yes!  You choose the level at which you want to run your business.  You get out of it what you put into it.  Stampin’ Up! has different levels of demonstrators based on your sales and recruiting new members that earn you deeper discounts, more commission, incentives, etc.
