Make Your First Handmade Cards

Start by picking a stamp set you like.  For these cards, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Pretty Florals along with the Simply Said stamp set for the words.  The Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes come in a pack of 20 cards that come pre-scored and 20 envelopes.  This is perfect for beginners, so you don’t need to cut anything.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you two basic ways to make this card, so you can choose the option that fits your style, supplies, and time:

2 card-making options included:

  1. Just Stamping – no cutting or gluing

  2. Stepped-Up with Layers – add a piece of colored cardstock behind the stamped layer
