- Begin by lining up your stamp on grid paper.
- Center your block up over the stamp. Check that the bottom edge of your block is lined up on a line of the grid paper to ensure your block is straight.
- Press your block on to the stamp.
- Next, ink up your stamp and test it by stamping on your grid paper to make sure it is straight. If you need to adjust, do so now.
Now that you know your stamp is straight on your block, you can use the block as a guide to line up with the edge of your card and ensure that you will stamp the words straight. If you are stamping in the middle of a card, you can align the block parallel to the top and bottom of your card.
