In this video, I’ll show you a simple yet effective tip to make your cards really stand out! When you’re creating a stamped nature scene, take it up a notch by cutting it out and adding dimension to your card. This technique works perfectly for cards for anyone on your list—guys or ladies alike!
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
Basic White THICK
- Card Base: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
- score at 4 1/4”
- Cut out: 3 ½” x 3 ½”
- Use die to cut a 3” circle
- Sentiment: scrap
- Inside Layer: 3 ¾” x 5”
Basic Beige
- Layer: 4” x 5 ¼”
Accent Color
- Strip: 2” x 4 ½”
- Inside Layer: 4” x 5 ¼”

Here’s a simple tip that can elevate your card designs: cut out your stamped images! By stamping your nature scene and then cutting it out, the image extends past the edges of the cut out creating a striking effect that instantly draws the eye. This added depth can bring your nature scenes to life, making them look like they’re popping right off the card.
- Use a blending brush to add a subtle hue to the background.
- Move the die around until it cuts out just the scene you want.
