Make an easy card for spring with this versatile card design!  Change out the focal point to fit the occasion or stamp set!  I’ve got lots of card design and stamping tips in this video!

What You Need To Make These Cards

Cutting & Scoring Measurements:

Crum Cake Card Base:

  • 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” (scored at 4 1/4” & folded)

Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4” x 4”

Focal Point Color (Gorgeous Grape):

  • Cardstock Layer: 3 7/8” x 2 5/8”
  • Sentiment Scalloped Layer: scrap
  • Interior Cardstock Layer: 5 1/4” x 4”

Basic White:

  • Stamped Layer: 3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″
  • Sentiment Stamped Layer: scrap
  • Interior Stamped Layer: 5” x 3 3/4”

Easily Customizable

I’m using a pansy as my focal point, but you could use your favorite stamp!

Color Combinations

Card #1  Cardstock: Calypso Coral.  Inks for flower: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry & Gorgeous Grape.

Card #2  Cardstock:  Sweet Sorbet.  Inks for flower:  Sweet Sorbet, Crushed Curry & Memento Black.

Card #3  Cardstock:  Gorgeous Grape.  Inks for flower: Gorgeous Grape, Crushed Curry, & Memento Black.

Card #4  Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape.  Inks for flower: Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape & Memento Black. 

Granny Apple Green ink was used for all of the stems and leaves.

Stamping Tip

  • Save

When your stamp set has a lot of pieces that work together to build one image, it is helpful to make a stamp map as a quick reference.  It really reduces frustration when you are in the middle of creating a beautiful card!  It’s supposed to be fun, right?!?
