Don't Lose Your Stamps

Stamps are small and easy to misplace, which is why I use a simple trick to create a reference for every stamp, so you’ll instantly see if one is missing.  I learned this genius tip from Jackie Bolhuis.

  1. Don’t remove the stamps from the thick plastic sheet.  Clean them with your Stampin’ Scrub
  2. Ink them up while they’re still on the plastic
  3. Stamp the entire sheet onto a piece of 5″ x 6 1/2″ cardstock
  4. Keep this reference with your stamp set in the case. (CLICK HERE for the cases used in the video)

Tips for Conditioning New Stamps

Keeping your stamps organized is important, but conditioning new stamps is just as crucial for crisp impressions. Fresh photopolymer stamps can cause ink to bead up, but a few easy steps can fix it.

Simple tips to condition your new stamps so they stamp beautifully from the start.

  • Clean them first with your Stampin’ Scrub to remove any residue
  • Stamp a few times on scrap paper to “break them in”
  • If the ink is still beading up, use embossing ink, it will make the surface sticky
  • Repeat until you get a great impression.
  • Using a Stampin’ Pierce mat adds a little cushion to aid in getting a great impression, too!
