Is that a gift tag on a Christmas card?  YES!  Just use the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut out a tag.  If you don’t have a die cutting machine, the Delightful Tag Topper Punch works great, too!

Fun and Festive Christmas Card Making Details

Crum Cake cardstock card base:  8 1/2” x 5 1/2” (scored at 4 1/4” and folded)

Cherry Cobbler or Evening Evergreen cardstock: 5 1/4” x 4”

Basic White cardstock: 5” x 3 3/4”

Basic White cardstock scrap for gift tag: 3 1/2″ x 1 3/4″ at least

Basic White cardstock (interior): 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”

Let's Get Started!

To make this card, start by stamping the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler onto your scrap piece of paper.  I’m using the Christmas To Remember Stamp Set for all of the words in this card.  There are so many great sentiments in that set! Cut the tag out using the 2nd largest tag in the Tailor Made Tags Die Set.  Look at that beautiful stitching around the border of that tag!  I love the attention to detail!

Ink Pads: Crum Cake, Soft Suede and Evening Evergreen

Now you can use the tag as a guide for where you want to stamp the pinecones and greenery on your stamping layer.

What's Two Set Stamping?

The pinecones in the Christmas Season Stamp Set are two-step stamps meaning there are two parts.  They can be used separately, but when used on top of each other, they give the image so much depth.

We are only use three colors of ink for the pinecones and greenery, but there are so many different tones of color in this card!  Play around with stamping off ink before using it to create a color that is one shade lighter.  I used this method on the pinecones and the greenery.

Get the Most Out of Your Cardstock

Tip: Don’t waste that colored cardstock layer!  Cut out some pieces to use on future projects! Once you glue on the stamped layer, you won’t be able to see there were cut outs.  No one will ever know.  😊

Before you glue your stamped layer to the colored cardstock layer, cut out some hole reinforcers that come in the Tailor Made Tags Dies to use as an accent on the tag.  I think the little details are what make handmade card and gifts so special!

Glue a hole reinforcer accent to your card and then use Linen Thread to make a pretty little bow.  Attach the tag to your card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it pop up from the surface.  Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card and the envelope!
